- The system converts DC power from the batteries to AC power that is used to drive the motor

- A 3-phase PWM signal is sent to the motor to interpret the motor's resolver

- Silicon Carbide MOSFET’s were chosen due to great thermal conductivity, compact design, and lower heat generation

- Traction inverter: enclosed cooling system with fans

- Motor: internal cooling system with released coolant along with a temperature sensor

- Batteries: water-cooling system

- Analog device used to identify the angle of rotation of the motor

- Uses two fixed inductor coils positioned 90 degrees out of phase from each other

- Using the magnitude of these two outputs an exact position of the motor can be determined mathematically which is used to then send current through the appropriate motor coils

- Constructed with 80/20 components composed of 1/4-inch steel

- Capable of withstanding torque generated by the motor, support enough weight, and is easily maneuverable for testing.
